Evil: Evil applies to that which violates or leads to the violation of moral law: evil practices. Reprehensible, sinful, iniquitous, vicious, corrupt, base, vile, nefarious. pernicious, destructive. wickedness, depravity, iniquity, unrighteousness, corruption, baseness. disaster, calamity, woe, misery, suffering, sorrow. depraved, corrupt, base, criminal, atrocious. Bad, ill, wicked are closest in meaning in reference to that which is lacking in moral qualities or is actually vicious.
